 Tai Chi to strengthen will
Hello everyone, I am Bishwas from Nepal. I learned Chen style tai chi in 2008 and 2009 with Patrick at NAU. With tai chi in my life, I have gotten into a world of new experiences. In other words, without tai chi, I wouldn't have made such decisions at those critical points that would lead me to where I am today. It was my decision that I am now back in my homecountry in the big city kathmandu.
Everyday I ride my bike thirty minutes away to "Sangati Rehabilitation Center." Here I teach tai chi chi gong to 10-16 people who have quit drugs and who are fighting to get back to their normal lives. We practice a series of chi gong exercises and lots of cloud hands and silk reeling. Tai Chi is indeed a good technique to strengthen the will to choose life over death, positivity over negativity, empowerment over weakness and appreciation over complain. My friends have indeed taught me to appreciate whatever we have in our lives and be happy about it.
That is all for now. Any comment is welcome.
Also, To Patrick, I appreciate your effort to bring tai chi people back together.
bishwas.

Hi Bishwas,
Thankyou for sharing this, and may the work you are doing with Tai Chi and those you are sharing it with be blessed with joy, healing, growth and awareness. This is so encouraging.
Peace,

Bishwas,
It makes me very happy to know that you are helping others with your Tai Chi Qigong training. I knew the first time we met that you are a teacher. I am proud to know you and call you my friend. Keep posting to let us know more about the very important work you are doing.

Re: Tai Chi to strengthen will
It is so interesting to hear what you are doing in Nepal and so inspiring to hear about how you are using the art of Tai Chi to help people. What a teacher and healer you must be. I wish I had had the honor of meeting you in person. I have only been studying and learning about Tai chi for a little over a year now with Patrick and it has already impacted my life in such subtle yet profound ways. I am only just at the very beginning but it is a part of my life that has blended in with the rest that excites me and calms me. I look forward to hearing more about your work and practice. Good health to you. Butterfly

Re: Tai Chi to strengthen will
Hi there, I am glad to share some of the benefits of doing tai chi to you all. These are real stories from our group. Once again, it is a rehab center where I practice tai chi with people who have quit drugs and are fighting to get back to their normal lives. They have done their best in this two months of practice, despite all sorts of mental challenges they face as a drug addict. As a whole, our tai chi group has become active, more participating, more frank and more sharing. One of my students even quit smoking cigarattee when he had been smoking heavily. It made me feel so emotional when he said that it was because of his evolving interest towards tai chi that he quit cigarattee. He sits by me everyday after tai chi for a couple of minutes of meditation and shares how the strength to choose is an important factor in his daily life. I am so glad that tai chi has bolstered his will to choose life over death and positivity over negativity. Another friend from our group has now come to a point where he believes he can heal his back ache by doing tai chi. He has indeed alleviate his pain to a large extent. I remember myself how I have cured my back ache by doing tai chi with Patrick. These are couple of stories from our rehab group that I feel I should share. I feel so happy when I think how tai chi is helping them directly and indirectly while helping myself too. Thanks for reading.

Re: Tai Chi to strengthen will
I wasn't anywhere else. I was only listening to the power of healing along with a girl, who is my neighbour. Without the power of gravity, we would have been so sick that we wouldn't have even felt it. Now that we feel the searing pain out of much pollution in our world, we have felt the urgent need of the form of tai chi anywhere all the times. There is no slipping off tomorrow as well. I thank you master!

Re: Tai Chi to strengthen will
Dear Bishwas, Tell us more about your Tai Chi experience and what you are learning by teaching others. When I was a young man my master told me if I wanted to learn, really learn, I would need to teach others. I told him that I was not a teacher and that I couldn't teach something I didn't know. His reply was, "we teach that which we most need to learn, and we become what we teach".
